H E L L O, I’m Adam Densmore, the heart and soul of Densmore Design & Build.

I discovered my love of building when I was young, assisting my father renovate old houses, and I went on to work in a variety of fields in the industry. I began my career in a shop that did renovations and custom cabinetry; milling and building cabinetry is where I began my love of woodworking. I spent several years working in the insurance restoration industry, where I did a lot of demolition, mold and asbestos remediation, as well as rebuilding. This was a great experience as I got to see many different projects. I’ve worked for a new home builder, where I did framing and drywall finishing, then moved on to work for a finish carpenter, doing primarily commercial trim and crown moulding. With all this experience, I believed it was a natural next step to start my own business.

I’m passionate about quality in all aspects of my work — including the tools I work with. I enjoy researching the best products and innovations to implement in my projects. I constantly strive to provide the best finished product available, and often that means working with excellent tools and materials; I believe this mentality sets me apart from others.

I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing clients on a variety of projects, but the one that gave me the most satisfaction was a personal project; renovating my triplex in Old East Village and becoming a landlord. “OEV” is one of the most remarkable neighbourhoods in London, and it’s been a great experience.

I have a variety of interests; backcountry camping, travel, archery, football (Go Pack Go), and board games. Most importantly, I’m a new father and when I’m not working, I love spending time with my family.
